Norton and Yarm have more in common than the map suggests. Both held on to a proper centre with independent places worth walking to, in an area where a great deal else became retail park. Guests who come to us from Norton usually get it immediately: the point of coming here is that it does not feel like a treatment room bolted onto a gym.
The drive is around 15 minutes, south through Stockton and over the river, which makes an evening treatment perfectly practical. We are open until 8pm Monday to Saturday and open on Sundays, when a good deal of Teesside is not.
We are at 49 High Street, on the cobbles near the Town Hall. Inside it is dark, warm and quiet, with skilled therapists and a menu that runs from 30 focused minutes to a 90 minute herbal ritual.

From Norton High Street head south into Stockton and pick up the A135 towards Eaglescliffe and Yarm, then cross the River Tees at Yarm Bridge onto the High Street. We are at number 49, near the Town Hall. Yarm station is also on the Northallerton line if you would rather not drive.
Yarm High Street parking is free for the 1st hour and £2 for 1 to 3 hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm. West Street, The Old Market and Castle Dyke Wynd car parks are £3.50 all day, which suits a longer treatment. Evenings after 5pm and all day Sunday are free.

We begin by gently warming the whole body, then Thai massage works its way up from the legs, easing out the tightness you have been carrying for weeks. Warm herbal compresses follow, soft bundles of Thai herbs steamed and pressed into aching muscles, so a deep, comforting heat sinks in exactly where you need it. Beautifully scented aromatherapy oils carry you further into calm, before a slow, soothing head massage brings everything to a peaceful close. The strongest relief we can give in 1 visit, and the treatment our regulars keep coming back for.
Traditional Thai Massage, 60 minutes, £50. A firm, invigorating hour that sits close to deep tissue, with lots more assisted stretching to free up the hips, back and shoulders. Oil is optional, just let us know how you like it. Once you are warmed up, your therapist begins at the legs with steady pressure and stretches that leave you standing taller and feeling more flexible. A gentle head massage finishes things off beautifully. Brilliant if you feel stiff from sitting, driving or training and want to move freely again.
Aromatherapy, 60 minutes, £60. Our relaxing warm oil massage, made with beautifully scented aromatherapy oils. The fragrance fills the room as soon as you settle in, and every slow, flowing stroke helps your breathing ease and your shoulders drop. After a soft warm up, your therapist works gently from the legs upwards at a light to medium pressure, then closes with a calming head massage. An hour of pure unwinding, and the one to book when your mind simply will not switch off.
Hot Stone, 60 minutes, £65. Smooth heated basalt stones and warm oil, glided through the muscles and rested where you hold tension, so the warmth sinks in and tightness melts away without heavy pressure. It is the most comforting hour you can give yourself when you feel tense but would rather have warmth than firm work. After a gentle warm up, the stones travel up from the legs, settling the back and shoulders, before your therapist finishes with a soft head massage by hand. You will feel warm right through, calm and wonderfully relaxed.
