Start At The Feet

Thai Foot Massage
& Reflexology in Yarm

A warm foot soak, then 30 minutes of firm reflex point work across the soles, arches and lower legs. Nothing to undress, and the effect travels far further up the body than guests expect. £30.

More Than Tired Feet

The most underestimated 30 minutes on our menu

It begins with a warm foot soak. That is not a flourish, it is how the treatment is properly done in Thailand: warm water softens the skin, eases the day out of the joints and settles the nervous system before any pressure begins. Guests mention the foot soak in reviews more often than almost anything else.

From there, Thai foot massage sits somewhere between massage and reflexology. Your therapist works the soles, arches, heels, toes and lower legs with thumbs and knuckles, pressing the reflex points that Thai tradition maps to the rest of the body, often using a small wooden stick for precision on the deeper points.

Whether or not you subscribe to the reflex map, the practical result is not in doubt. Feet carry your entire body weight all day inside shoes that restrict them, and they hold an enormous number of nerve endings. Work them properly for 30 minutes and the effect genuinely climbs the body. A great many guests report the relaxation reaching their shoulders and head.

A reviewer put it better than we could, calling it among the most relaxing foot massages she had enjoyed, and being pleasantly surprised that it included neck and head massage at no extra charge. That is standard here rather than a 1-off.

Who It Suits

Especially good for these

Standing all day

Nurses, retail and hospitality staff, hairdressers and teachers. Heavy, throbbing feet at the end of a shift respond immediately.

Runners and walkers

Tight plantar fascia, sore arches and stiff calves after long distances or the Cleveland Way get concentrated attention here.

Guests who prefer not to undress

Shoes and socks off, nothing else. The most comfortable possible introduction to what we do.

Poor circulation and cold feet

Firm work through the soles and lower legs brings noticeable warmth back, which many guests feel for hours afterwards.

Trouble falling asleep

Foot work is unusually effective at settling an overactive mind, which is why late appointments are popular for it.

A small, affordable treat

30 minutes for £30 with head and neck work included. Easily the best value 30 minutes on the menu.

During The Treatment

How it works, step by step

You sit or recline comfortably, fully clothed apart from shoes and socks. Feet are cleansed 1st, then warmed with balm or oil.

Your therapist begins broadly across the whole foot before moving to specific points, holding pressure where she finds tenderness. Tender spots are common in the arch and under the ball of the foot, and they ease within the session.

Work continues up through the ankles and calves, then finishes with neck, shoulder and head massage while you are still settled. That final part is why the treatment feels far bigger than a foot rub.

If you have diabetes, neuropathy, verrucas, athlete's foot, a recent fracture or open skin on the feet, please tell us when booking so we can advise properly.
