This site has no accounts, no contact forms and no payment pages, so there is nothing here for you to fill in and nothing for us to store about you directly. We use 2 measurement tools that collect anonymised information about how the site is used: pages viewed, roughly how far you scroll, which buttons are clicked, your approximate location by region, and the type of device and browser you are using.

Those tools are Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand how people find and use the site, and the Meta Pixel, which measures how well our Facebook and Instagram advertising is working. Neither is used to identify you personally, and we never see your name or contact details through them.

When you 1st visit the main website, a short notice appears at the foot of the page. Until you choose Accept All, no cookies are stored on your device and no advertising data is collected. In that state Google Analytics records only that a page was viewed, with no cookie, no identifier and nothing that could be traced back to you or your device. It tells us how busy the site is, and nothing about who you are.

The Meta Pixel is not loaded on standard website pages until you accept. The dedicated paid-ad booking page at /book is the exception: it loads the existing Tara Spa Meta Pixel when the page opens to measure ad visits, treatment views, booking clicks and contact actions.

On standard website pages, if you choose Accept All, Analytics begins using a cookie so we can tell returning visitors from new ones, and the Meta Pixel loads. If you choose Only Necessary, or simply ignore the notice, the site works exactly the same and nothing is stored on your device.

Your decision is remembered in your browser's local storage so we do not keep asking. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the notice will appear again on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely through your browser, which the site respects without complaint.

Appointments are handled by the external booking service Vagaro, which opens in a new tab when you tap Book Now. Any details you enter to reserve a treatment, such as your name, telephone number and email address, are submitted to that system rather than to this website, and are processed under their own privacy terms alongside ours. We use those details only to arrange and honour your appointment.

The map on our contact section is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when that map loads. Following a link to our Google listing, Facebook or Instagram takes you onto those platforms, where their own privacy policies apply.

Anonymised website analytics are retained by Google and Meta according to their standard periods, typically up to 14 months for Analytics. Appointment details are kept only as long as we reasonably need them to run the spa and meet our record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we share it only with the service providers described above who help us operate the spa and its website.

Under UK data protection law you may ask us what information we hold about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw your cookie consent at any time. Simply email or call us using the details above and we will deal with your request promptly and without fuss.

If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's independent regulator.

If the way we use information changes, we will update this page and revise the date shown at the top. We would encourage a quick glance at it whenever you notice that date has moved.
