There is no shortage of places in Middlesbrough offering a back massage alongside nails, lashes and waxing. What is genuinely harder to find is traditional Thai massage performed by Thai therapists who trained in the technique properly, in a space built for it rather than a curtained corner.

The setting matters just as much. Yarm High Street is cobbled and Georgian, our rooms are candlelit and warm, and the whole point is that stepping through the door should feel like leaving Teesside for an hour. You cannot manufacture that above a busy retail parade.

By car the quickest routes are the A66 west then the A19 south to the Crathorne turn, or out through Acklam and Stainton and down Leven Bank into Yarm. By rail, Yarm has its own station with a journey of about 15 minutes from Middlesbrough, and the High Street is a short walk away. Eaglescliffe station is a nearby alternative.
Yarm High Street parking is free for the 1st hour, then £2 for 1 to 3 hours, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm. For longer treatments use the all day car parks at West Street, The Old Market, Yarm Wharf or Castle Dyke Wynd at £3.50. After 5pm and all day Sunday, parking is free.

Making the journey worthwhile
If you are driving 15 minutes, it is worth booking something more substantial than 30 minutes. 2 suggestions in particular.

Deep Relief by Herbal, 90 minutes, £100. Our signature ritual, and the treatment guests travel furthest for. Thai massage, steamed herbal compresses packed with lemongrass, ginger and kaffir lime, aromatherapy oils, then head massage. 90 minutes that genuinely resets you.

Good To Know
A few things before you travel
Always book in advance. Driving in from Middlesbrough on the chance a therapist is free is a gamble not worth taking. Booking online takes under a minute and shows live availability.
We are open until 8pm Monday to Saturday. Sundays are 11am to 5pm. Evening appointments suit guests coming straight from work, and parking in Yarm is free after 5pm.
Traffic on the A66 and A19. Both can be slow at rush hour. Give yourself a buffer, because arriving late shortens your treatment rather than delaying it.
We do not offer massage during pregnancy at any stage. It is a safety decision rather than a matter of convenience, and we would rather say so plainly here than have you make the journey.
