Ingleby Barwick has thousands of homes, several schools and a pair of shopping parades, but very little in the way of somewhere to actually go and be looked after. For most residents, anything beyond nails and hair means driving off the estate anyway. Given that, Yarm makes obvious sense: it is the closest place you can get genuine traditional Thai massage, and it takes less time to reach than the queue at the Tesco roundabout on a Saturday.
Come out onto Low Lane or Thornaby Road, drop down into Yarm, and you are on the High Street within a few minutes. We are at number 49, on the cobbled stretch near the Town Hall.
Because we are so close, plenty of guests from Ingleby book a 30 minute treatment on a weekday, which simply is not practical if you are travelling from further afield. A focused 30 minutes on the neck and shoulders for £30, or a Thai foot massage for the same, becomes something you can do on a lunch break.

Leave the estate via Low Lane or Thornaby Road towards Yarm, cross into the town and continue onto the High Street. We are at 49 High Street, on the cobbles near the Town Hall. It is also a pleasant walk or cycle along the river path in decent weather.
On-street parking on Yarm High Street is free for the 1st hour, then £2 for 1 to 3 hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, which covers a 30 minute treatment comfortably. For 60 or 90 minute treatments, the all day car parks at West Street, The Old Market and Castle Dyke Wynd cost £3.50. Parking is free after 5pm and on Sundays.
